First time to Phillies Spring Training. The baseball portion of the trip was terrific. Game seats excellent & wonderful Meet & Greet with 2 great legends & a great broadcaster. Also good were the comfortable buses and their experienced & courteous drivers.
Not so great were the breakfast buffet before the 1st game & the dinner cruise. When I booked the trip, I specifically asked about availability of gluten free foods as I have celiac disease. Was assured accommodations would be made. While I did not go without any food at either event, only about 10% of the menus at both were gluten free. No effort for any type of substitutes was made.
Improvement definitely needed in the process for loading & unloading the buses at the hotel and the check in process. After a long day of travel with quite a few delays (none of them in your control), we were made to disembark in the street instead of at the hotel entrance ramp which was undercover & closer to the hotel entrance. We were also told that we would not have to stand in line at the check in desk but instead would be given an envelope with our room number and key because of the long day and later than expected arrival. This did not happen and we waited almost a half hour to check in.
It would also be helpful to have more details on the events like the Meet & Greet, and the buffet breakfast as part of the itinerary. Julia Lucchesi was very responsive to email requests sent while we were in Clearwater about these aspects. That said, it would have saved her some work and provided us with helpful information for planning the flexible time in the schedule.
One final note to address with the hotel. Had to call Customer Service 2 out of our 4 days to have the room cleaned because the room was still not serviced at 5PM.
Despite these concerns, the trip was enjoyable and I would recommend PhillySportsTrips to friends & family, Pat Panzera
It was our first time at the Phillies Spring Training and it was totally enjoyable. Kudos to Vince and the team for great organization of our bus transportation to games, the Broadcast and Tailgate at Coco’s, and the Dinner Cruise. It was definitely fun being around all the Phillies fans! However, I will never take a charter flight again!
I just came back from the Phil The Park, San Francisco and San Diego trip. It was awesome. The hotels were centrally located to tourist attractions and the stadiums. The seats at all 4 games were amazing! The tailgate food was good and the drinks flowed freely.
James took great care of us. He helped find our ballpark tickets when they didn't hit our apps. He even provided great weather!
My wife and I have been talking about going to Spring Training for a few years now and finally went this year with Philly Sports Trips. What a Blast! We had so much fun! Vince, Julia, Bob and the rest of the team went out of their way to make sure everyone enjoyed the experience. From the tailgate and meet and greet with Charlie Manuel to the spring training games and the Preston and Steve broadcast in between. MY wife and I have already booked for next year and we'll be getting our family and friends to go along too!
